What parts are covered?
Most major parts of the tank-based electric, natural gas and propane water heaters. This includes, but is not limited to, electric water heater: drain valve, upper and lower thermostate, upper and lower element and temperature/pressure relief valve. On the gas water heater: burner supply tube and assembly, drain valve, gas valve, pilot light, supply tube and assembly, temperature control, thermocouple, temperature/pressure relief valve and main burner.
What is not covered?
The service covers items listed in the terms and conditions. Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Other limitations and restrictions may apply to you. See the terms and conditions for additional limitations and restrictions.
Who is eligible to enroll?
Residential homeowners are eligible. Commercial properties, renters, or multi-unit dwellings are not eligible.
Who will do my repair?
A licensed and insured technician will do the repair.
When am I eligible for service?
Your coverage term starts the day your enrollment is processed. To prevent service calls on pre-existing problems, there is a 30 day period at the start of your contract before you can request a service call.
Is there an annual limit for repairs and/or replacement?
There is an annual limit for covered repairs or replacement up to $850.00 per year based on enrollment date.
Can I transfer Water Heater Repair Service to my new address if I move?
No, the existing repair service will be terminated at your current residence. For service at your new address, simply request the repair service at your new residence. Once again, a 30-day waiting period will apply from the day of enrollment before you are eligible for the repair service at the new residence.
