Step 6: Commission the system: Create final checklist before meter is set and renewable energy flows to Progress Energy's grid.
Progress Energy will schedule a time to install the meter once the following has been completed:

The “Interconnection Request” has been submitted and approved

The “Certificate of Completion" has been signed and returned

Valid Proof of Insurance for the applicable installation
NOTE: It is recommended that your PV system vendor be present when the “Sell All” meter is installed by Progress Energy.
Progress Energy will begin sending you statements to handle the applicable charges and payments once the following has been completed.

The “Qualifying Facility Certification” has been received from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.

The “Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity” has been received from the North Carolina Utilities Commission.

The “Application for Standard Contract by a Qualifying Cogenerator or Small Power Producer” has been signed and returned.
