Step 6: Commission the system: Create final checklist before meter is set and renewable energy flows to Progress Energy's grid.
Progress Energy will schedule a time to install the meter once the following has been completed:

The “Application to Interconnect” has been submitted and approved

The “Interconnection Agreement for Small Generation Less Than 100kW" has been signed and returned

An approved final electrical inspection has been received by the local inspecting authority.

Valid Proof of Insurance for the applicable installation
NOTE: It is recommended that your PV system vendor be present when the “Sell All” meter is installed by Progress Energy.
Progress Energy will begin sending you statements to handle the applicable charges and payments once the following has been completed.

The “Qualifying Facility Certification” has been received from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.

The “Application for Standard Contract by a Qualifying Cogenerator or Small Power Producer” has been signed and returned.
