Steps:

Step 2. Apply for Interconnection: Gather technical information on your renewable system and complete an application to interconnect with Progress Energy.

Progress Energy requires specific information from the customer including site information, renewable generator specifications and other technical data in order to process an application for interconnection. Customers must complete the "Application to Interconnect" located below.  Send the completed application, a one-line drawing of the system, and $100 non-refundable ($250 for non-residential) processing fee to:

Progress Energy
Distribution-Interconnected Generation Office
100 E. Davie St., TPP17
Raleigh, NC 27601

Once your application and fee are received, a Progress Energy representative will contact you to discuss your application.

NOTE:  A one-line drawing is an electical drawing of the system that identifies all major equipment associated with the generation system including the meter base.  A one-line drawing can typically be provided by your installer.
