HomeWIRE™ covers the repair of electrical wiring and components for just $3.95 a month. If a problem arises involving outlets, switches, dimmers, fuses, breakers, inside wiring or your building-mounted electric meter housing, simply call Progress Energy. Our representatives will schedule prompt repairs with a licensed, qualified electrician.

HomeWIRE™ provides up to $500 worth of covered repairs a year. The chart shows how your savings can really add up:

As an added value, our contractors will offer a 15 percent discount for upgrades and non-covered repairs such as pre-existing conditions. There is a 30-day waiting period from the day of enrollment before you are eligible for our repair service. Repairs that are needed prior to the 30-day waiting period can be made utilizing the 15 percent discount on labor.

HomeWIRE™ does not cover code violations, upgrades, neglect or abuse, lightning, low-voltage wiring, appliances or obsolete parts. A complete description of the terms and conditions of HomeWIRE™, including aggregate liability limits, is contained in the service contract, a copy of which is sent to all new subscribers.
