Why is Progress Energy offering this tool?
As part of our commitment to helping you find better ways to manage your energy use and save money, Progress Energy developed the new Customized Home Energy Report. This free comprehensive, personlaized evaluation will examine your household's energy usage to provide you with a better understanding of how you spend your energy dollars. In order to accurately analyze your home's energy usage and account data, we depend on your detailed responses. However, rest assured that the information you provide will be treated with the upmost confidentiality and there is no obligation associated with this offer.



What will be included in this tool?
You'll receive energy-saving recommendations specific to your home, to help you save money on your monthly electric bill. Progress Energy now also offers special cash rebates to customers who make energy-saving improvements to their home as part of our new Home Energy Improvement Program. As part of your report, you will also receive details about the energy-saving improvements you can make to your home and the rebates for which you may qualify.



How do I know if I qualify to participate in this tool?
The program is open to all residential customers including single-family, manufactured homes and those living in multifamily developments interested in learning about how they use energy and in making energy-efficient improvements to their homes.



Can I participate if I rent a house or apartment?
Yes! This report will provide useful information on how to save energy and money to any residential customer who pays a Progress Energy bill.


I don't know where to get started, what should I do?
Have a past Progress Energy bill handy and simply go to www.progresscher.com. Here you will be prompted to enter your account number and zip code. Once you have registered, you will answer questions to complete the evaluation and then receive your Customized Home Energy Report. 


How long will the evaluation take?

You will answer questions about how your home uses energy and this takes an average of 15 minutes. Once you have registered, you will answer questions to complete the evaluation and then receive your Customized Home Energy Report.
