Premier Power delivers custom designed, utility-owned and maintained, on-site generating equipment that serves as a backup power source if primary electrical service is interrupted, all for a monthly service fee. In addition to the reliability benefit, these units are remotely tested and monitored, and may be dispatched during high demand periods, providing an economic benefit. Premier Power is available in sizes ranging from 200 to 3,500 kW in the Carolinas with no upper limit in Florida.
Premier Power Service is only available within Progress Energy's Carolinas and Florida service territories.
