Demand Side Management/Energy Efficiency Program: "Opt out" Provision

Progress Energy Carolinas' is offering our customers a series of Demand Side Management (DSM) and Energy Efficiency (EE) programs which have been approved by the Regulatory Commissions in NC and SC. The cost of these programs will be shared among our customers. However, under some conditions, there is an opportunity for certain customers to be eligible to "opt out" of participating in the DSM/EE programs and avoid these charges.

At this site, you will find information on how to determine if your account(s) is/are eligible to opt out of the DSM/EE programs and the process to follow to notify PEC if you would like to request to opt out.
