Are you a Progress Energy Carolinas customer considering solar water heating for your business, institution, or organization?

Progress Energy's commercial solar water heating program may be an option. We've developed a program that will provide a guaranteed payment for eligible solar water heating systems installed on commercial facilities. Once you've met with a solar water heating installer to determine your site's feasibility and have received an equipment and installation estimate, submit the application form to be considered for acceptance into the program.

Projects that are accepted will receive an incentive of $20/REC for the system's metered thermal energy. Establishing a standard incentive program provides pricing certainty to help our customers better plan their solar projects.

Progress Energy is committed to expanding the use of renewable and alternative energy. Combined with tax incentives, this program may help to bring solar water heating within reach for more of our customers.
