In the Progress Energy SunSense schools program, middle and high schools compete for solar panels to be installed at their school by Argand Solar. The initial application deadline for 2009 has passed.

Five schools – four from North Carolina and one from South Carolina – will win a two-kilowatt demonstration-size, solar photovoltaic system to be installed by Argand Solar on the schools’ campus.
