The first issue of Spotlight -- the employee magazine for Carolina Power & Light Company -- was published in July 1937. That first issue informed all employees, "this magazine is yours -- by and for you. The heights to which it may ascend will be in proportion to the earnest efforts which all of us put forth in its behalf."

For the next 60 years, Spotlight brought news and information to employees on a monthly basis. The following is a sampling of issues of Spotlight over the years.
