Since becoming Progress Energy in 2001, we've invested over $54 million in our local communities through our grant programs. Our giving is primarily focused in the areas of education, economic development, the environment and employee involvement. With these grants, we're supporting strong teachers and thriving businesses, a healthy environment and compassionate employees - programs that will produce valuable returns, both today and far into the future.
Our motivation is simple. Progress Energy may be an energy provider serving millions of people, but we're also a local company, and more importantly, a neighbor in every community where we live and work. And we can't think of a better investment.
