Located about eight miles north of the town of Crystal River, Fla., the 838-MW Crystal River Nuclear Plant is part of the Crystal River Complex, the largest generating plant on the Progress Energy system and one of the largest generating plants in the nation, with a total capacity of approximately 3,148 MW.
