Each year Progress Energy recruits and hires many undergraduate and graduate interns to work in various positions throughout the organization.

Students can intern with us during the summer in an assignment related to their field of study. Our summer internship opportunities can be for just one summer or a series of summers.

INROADS

Over the years, Progress Energy and its subsidiaries have been strong supporters of the INROADS Internship Program. INROADS is a national non-profit organization that works with local schools to find talented minority students and provide them with ongoing professional and personal development training. Progress Energy internships are available to INROADS students enrolled in four-year college degree programs in fields such as engineering, computer science, accounting and business. Participants are placed in assignments related to their course of study each summer until graduation. In addition, each is assigned a Progress Energy business advisor and mentor.
